Deep shock at the demise of Abdul Latif, Former Deputy Librarian, University of Dhaka

Mr Abdul Latif, Former Deputy Librarian, University of Dhaka died at Square Hospital, Dhaka, on 15 November 2018.
Mr Latif was very much active for Library activities of Bangladesh and he worked as a Treasurer of Library Association of Bangladesh on several periods. He also worked as a faculty member of Asian University of Bangladesh in the Department of Library and Information Science. As a person and professional he was a moderate, cooperative, and had a positive attitude towards the profession.
May Allah accept him in Jannatul Ferdous.

She already instructed the ministries for developing research in the different areas of the Art, Literature, History and Cultures’’- Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor said while unveiling two book titled “HISTORY OF BANGLADESH, Early Bengal in Regional Perspectives” and “National Atlas of Bangladesh” in the Bangladesh Asiatic Society Auditorium at December 9, 2018. The minister also shared that this current Government is highly emphasizing in the research sector and give the highest allotment offer to develop in the research sector in Bangladesh.
